Salary: 80,000€ + gross per year, negotiable for the right candidate.

Schedule: Rota position – 24-hour cover, 3 weeks on/off

The Family

A warm and welcoming family in Marbella is urgently seeking an experienced and nurturing baby nanny to join their household. The role involves caring for a delightful 10-month-old baby girl who sleeps through the night (12 hours!), is a great eater with no allergies, and is currently mastering developmental milestones like sitting and crawling. She also has an older sibling with their own dedicated nanny, and fostering a positive bond between the two children is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and follow the baby’s established routine, including naps, meals, and activities.
• Facilitate developmental activities appropriate for her age, encouraging milestones like sitting, crawling, and play with age-appropriate toys.
• Ensure the baby’s essentials are always stocked, including nappies, wipes, and clothing.
• Prepare and serve meals for the baby.
• Swim with the baby in the family’s indoor pool when needed.
• Transition the sleeping arrangement to eventually have your own room separate from the baby.
• Build a strong relationship with her sibling, encouraging shared activities and meals to foster a sense of family unity.
• Provide comfort when needed during the night but follow the family’s approach of encouraging self-soothing.

Requirements

• Experience: Extensive experience caring for babies and toddlers, supporting developmental milestones.
• Languages: Fluent English is essential. Native English, Spanish or German preferred.
• Personality: Mature, warm, attentive, and able to maintain a calm, nurturing environment.
• Skills: Strong organizational skills, ability to maintain routines, and a proactive approach to childcare.
• Swimming: Confident swimmer to accompany the baby in the pool.
• Engaging & Proactive: Candidate must be energetic and hands-on, ready to plan fun activities at home and outdoors for the kids. Proactive in researching different entertainment and educational activities in the area (zoos, museums, parks, days out at the beach, walks in nature, etc).
• Passport: EU passport or residency permit necessary for ease of travel and compliance.

Additional Perks

• Travel to and from candidate’s base (within EU) covered by the family for each shift.
• Currently sharing a room with the baby, although this will soon be phased out and the nanny will have her own private room.
• 24/7 security on-site – a helpful and supportive team ensures safety and peace of mind.
