Private Chef in Marbella

Location: Marbella, Spain
Salary: Up to €3,500 net/month for the right candidate
Schedule: Full-time, weekend-off schedule
Start Date: ASAP

Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Private Chef to join a fully staffed UHNW household in Marbella. This role is ideal for a chef with strong technical skills, excellent people skills, and the ability to confidently manage both a kitchen and a small team (there is a sous chef who is working already). The position offers long-term stability and a highly attractive schedule within a warm, respectful, and well-structured household.

The chef will be responsible for delivering a refined yet homely culinary experience for the family, as well as overseeing kitchen operations that support a larger, extended household staff team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare fresh, seasonal, family-style meals with a focus on high-quality, home-cooked cuisine

  • Produce homemade stocks (fish and meat), fresh pasta, and a variety of sauces from scratch

  • Plan and execute weekly menus tailored to the family’s preferences

  • Source high-quality, organic produce locally, building relationships with trusted suppliers, farmers, and fishermen

  • Manage kitchen operations efficiently, including organisation, hygiene, and stock control

  • Oversee and collaborate with sous chef who supports meals for household staff (security, nannies, etc.)

  • Prepare dinners in advance and leave neatly packed and labelled in the fridge, in line with the family’s routine and preferences (no evening service required)

  • Ensure the fridge is stocked up with good quality dishes for the family, nannies, children and extended staff to enjoy over the weekends when chef is not on shift.
  • Take an active interest in the family’s garden, incorporating home-grown produce into menus and contributing to seasonal planning

  • Ensure smooth day-to-day kitchen operations within a fully staffed household environment

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Private Chef within UHNW households or similar high-level environments

  • Strong technical culinary skills, with a focus on fresh, from-scratch cooking

  • Experience managing a kitchen and working collaboratively within a team

  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to plan ahead

  • Warm, down-to-earth personality with a no-ego approach

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Passion for seasonal, local, and organic produce

  • Comfortable working in a fully staffed, structured household

  • Fluent in English and Spanish

  • Based in Marbella or surrounding area

  • Driving license and own car (Extended team can procure ingredients, but mobility is required for ad-hoc grocery runs, etc.)

Additional Notes

  • Breakfast requirements are minimal and supported by a second chef

  • No evening service required

  • Weekend-off schedule offering excellent work-life balance

  • Long-term position within a stable and well-run household
