Overview:
An experienced and calm live-in maternity nurse is needed for a 6-month position with a warm, easygoing international family based in Zurich. The family is expecting their third child and is looking for a maternity nurse with at least 10 years of experience who can start on 23rd October 2024. The role involves alternating 12-hour day and night shifts, with breaks. The family will be providing a comfortable, private room with an ensuite bathroom in their home.
Candidates already based in Zurich are encouraged to apply, but the family is willing to relocate the right candidate. The ideal maternity nurse will know how to blend seamlessly into the family, understanding when to step in and provide support, and when to step back and allow the family their own time with the baby.
Duties are general maternity nurse tasks including establishing a feeding and sleeping schedule, ensuring the newborn adequately reaches all their milestones, assisting mother with baby related needs, cleaning and sterilising all baby related equipment, taking baby on daily walks and stimulating baby for development throughout all the different infant phases until they are able to begin eating solids, etc. The family will require a full time nanny after the maternity nurse leaves, they are open to consider hiring the maternity nurse on a full time basis if this is of interest to the candidate.
Although the family has two toddlers with their own nanny, they would love the maternity nurse to involve the older children in spending time with their new sibling. A calm, grounded demeanor is essential, and English fluency is a must. International experience is an added advantage. Only candidates with an EU passport will be considered for this position.
Competitive salary on offer of 400 CHF per day.
