Overview:

We are searching for a Head Housekeeper to oversee all daily operations at an UHNW private family home in the Málaga area. This fully staffed yet informal household requires a hands-on professional who can oversee and manage all aspects of housekeeping operations while working alongside the team to ensure the home is maintained to the highest standards.

The ideal candidate will lead by example, directly supervising two housekeepers and personally overseeing the rooms and belongings of the principals. This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced housekeeper looking to take on a leadership role in a supportive and long-term environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Supervision: Manage and lead two housekeepers, ensuring daily tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Hands-On Housekeeping: Personally carry out key housekeeping tasks, including caring for the principals’ rooms, laundry, and personal belongings, while setting an example for the team.
  • Household Management: Oversee the smooth functioning of the home, coordinating with other staff members and service providers as needed.
  • Stock Management: Monitor household supplies, anticipate needs, and manage replenishments for cleaning products and other essentials.
  • Staff Training: Provide guidance and training to the housekeeping team to uphold standards and improve efficiency.
  • Specialized Care: Ensure the care and upkeep of luxury materials, furnishings, and household items, maintaining the informal yet high-standard ambiance desired by the principals.
  • Guest Support: Assist with preparations and housekeeping support during family events or guest visits.

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in high-end private households, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
    • Expertise in housekeeping practices, including care for fine materials and luxury interiors.
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Hands-on and team-oriented, with the ability to lead by example.
    • Adaptable and professional, with a discreet and approachable demeanor.
  • Languages: Fluency in Spanish and English is essential.

Working Conditions:

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Salary: €50,000 gross per year, paid in 12 monthly installments.
