Live-Out Nanny in Central London

NO FURTHER APPLICATIONS.

Location: Central London

Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 gross per annum

Start Date: 1st of December 2024

An art-loving family in Central London is looking for an experienced and creative live-out nanny to care for their sweet, bright and curious 8-year-old son. They want someone who shares his passion for science and art, helping him explore these interests through educational activities, fun outings, and hands-on projects. This position is available as their long-term nanny of 5 years is relocating outside the UK.

The role involves full-time care during the week, focusing on both his academic and personal growth. A typical day starts with picking him up from home in the morning, ensuring he has everything he needs for school, and driving him there. In the afternoons, the nanny will collect him from school, take him to extracurricular activities, assist with homework, and plan stimulating activities to encourage his creativity. Evening duties include preparing his dinner, enjoying some playtime, and managing his bedtime routine.

Between school drop-off and pick-up, the nanny is completely free, offering time for personal errands or relaxation, though it’s important to remain nearby in case of emergencies. This makes the role ideal for someone based in Central London.

While weekends are usually off, the family may occasionally need weekend support, which will be compensated.

The family is seeking a nanny who can balance structure with a nurturing approach, creating a positive environment that supports the child’s development.

A confident driver with a clean driving record is essential, as a nanny car will be provided for school runs and activities. The car can also be taken home and used for reasonable personal errands during weekends.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the morning routine, ensuring the child is prepared for school
  • School drop-off and pick-up
  • Organizing educational and creative after-school activities that align with the child’s interests in science and art
  • Supporting with homework
  • Preparing healthy snacks and child-friendly meals
  • Encouraging outdoor play and physical activities
  • Assisting with the evening routine, including dinner, bath, and bedtime
  • Planning weekend activities when required, including museum visits and creative workshops

Requirements:

  • Must be a confident driver with a clean driving record
  • Prior experience working with children of a similar age, especially with a focus on education or creative development
  • Passion for science and art, with the ability to foster these interests in the child
  • Warm, engaging, and proactive personality
  • Comfortable planning fun and educational outings
  • The right to live and work in the UK

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary of £60,000 – £70,000 gross per annum
  • Full-time live-out position, Monday to Friday
  • Nanny car provided, with reasonable personal use permitted during weekends
  • Lovely work environment in a creative and supportive family
