Job Overview:
A high-profile, young family of four in TriBeCa is looking for a warm and experienced Nanny to join their team. You’ll be responsible for two children, aged 2 and 5, and will work alongside two other nannies who cover late afternoons and weekends. The family values professionalism but also wants someone who can bring a nurturing, fun, and engaging approach to childcare.
This is a Monday to Friday role, working from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with weekends off. The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel frequently across the US and internationally with the family.
Key Responsibilities:
– Daily Childcare: Provide attentive care to both children, focusing on meeting developmental milestones. Plan educational, fun activities to foster their growth and curiosity.
– Travel: Accompany the family on trips across the US and internationally, ensuring the children’s routines and comfort are maintained.
– Coordination with Other Nannies: Work collaboratively with the existing nanny team to ensure seamless transitions and consistent care between shifts.
– Developmental Milestones: Monitor and guide the children through their age-appropriate developmental stages, ensuring physical, emotional, and cognitive growth.
– Activities & Fun: Organize creative, engaging activities that balance learning with fun. The family seeks someone who is responsible but can also bring joy and energy to their children’s lives.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
– Experience: Proven experience working with children aged 2-5 years old in high-profile families. Understanding of developmental milestones and age-appropriate activities.
– Personality: Warm, caring, and approachable, but also reliable, responsible, and able to handle the unique demands of working with high-profile families.
– Education: Degree educated is preferred but not essential. Courses in childcare, child psychology or similar is a strong advantage. First Aid Certified also a strong advantage but family is willing to send successful candidate to do first aid training if necessary.
– Travel Flexibility: Able to travel domestically and internationally with the family as needed.
– Team Player: Comfortable working as part of a nanny team, coordinating schedules, and maintaining clear communication.
– Skills: Creative, engaging, and able to provide both structured and unstructured play. Comfortable with light housekeeping duties related to the children.
– Right to work in the US essential (citizenship, green card), candidates who do not align with this cannot be considered.
