Salary: Competitive for the right candidate.
Schedule: Live-out position – approximately 50 hours per week
- Monday to Friday:
- Morning school run, then time off during school hours (around 7–10am)
- Afternoon school pick-up until bedtime (around 4–8:30pm)
- Saturday:
- 10:00am – 5:00pm
- Overnights:
- The role includes 1 overnight per week, which can be accumulated if not used weekly.
- The family is respectful of rest time and will plan in advance when possible.
- Overtime & Additional Overnights: Any extra hours or additional overnight care beyond the contract are agreed in advance and paid separately.
- Future Arrangement (Optional): There may be an opportunity to transition to a live-in or rota role (2 weeks on / 2 weeks off) from Spring 2026, depending on mutual fit and family needs. This is not essential — finding the right long-term match is the priority.

Overview
A warm, international and down-to-earth family based in LA are looking for a loving, reliable, and energetic nanny to care for their two adorable and energetic daughters, aged 5 and 6.
This role would suit someone who genuinely enjoys working with school-age children and who can bring calm structure, creativity, and emotional warmth to the household. The family are currently renovating a larger home and anticipate the role could evolve into a rota position in the future (estimated move Spring 2026), although for now this is a live-out position.
They are keen to find someone local who will become part of the family long-term and grow with them over the years.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the morning routine, including breakfast and preparing the girls for school
- School drop-offs and pick-ups (car can be provided for work use only)
- Accompanying the children to after-school activities and managing schedules
- Organising age-appropriate activities at home, including creative play, reading, and arts & crafts
- Supporting homework when required
- Encouraging independence, good manners, and everyday life skills
- Assisting with dinner routines and bedtime (around 8pm)
- Creating a warm, structured and safe environment in the home
- Ensuring the children’s spaces, school items and belongings are kept organised. Someone proactive who will keep spaces tidy and organised on an ongoing basis
- Adapting to the natural rhythm of a busy family household with flexibility and positivity
Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience working with school-age children in private, high-profile, HNW or UHNW households.
- Qualifications: Qualifications/certificates/higher education in childcare or related field a plus. Pediatric first aid certificate essential.
- Languages: Fluent English essential; Spanish a strong advantage
- Personality: Warm, adaptable, calm, and emotionally intelligent. Able to go with the flow while anticipating the girls’ and family’s needs. Proactive, not reactive. Someone who knows their place and will follow the parent’s parenting style.
- Skills: Organised, proactive, creative, and confident multitasking
- Driving: Clean, valid driving licence essential (car provided for work use, candidate must be able to get to work in their own transportation)
- Energy: Active individual who enjoys engaging children through both outdoor and indoor activities
- Availability: Available for paid overtime and overnight care when required and open to a potential future transition to a live-in or rota role
