An easygoing international family of three is seeking an experienced and confident Private Chef for their stay in New York City from August through December 2025. The chef will oversee lunch and dinner service five days per week, creating a healthy, seasonal, and Mediterranean-inspired repertoire. The family occasionally entertains relatives and close friends (6–7 people at most). For any larger gatherings (8+ guests), additional support will be arranged.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, present, and execute weekly menus based on seasonal produce and family preferences.

Prepare daily lunch and dinner for the family, with a mix of elegant three-course meals and relaxed family-style sharing.

Cater to small dinner parties (up to 6–7 guests), with support provided for larger events.

Shop for fresh, high-quality ingredients, managing inventory and budgets independently.

Ensure the kitchen is always spotless, organized, and compliant with the highest hygiene standards.

Accommodate dietary preferences, ensuring healthy and balanced meals.

Bake breads, pastries, and light desserts when required.

Maintain flexibility and adjust menus to feedback and evolving schedules.
Requirements

Proven experience as a Private Chef in UHNW households, luxury hospitality, or similar high-end environments.

Strong knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine and healthy, seasonal cooking.

Confident, discreet, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to pivot between fine dining and casual family meals.

Comfortable around children and pets (the family has a young child and a medium-sized dog).

Excellent organization and time management skills, with a proactive, problem-solving attitude.

Ability to bake bread, pastries, and desserts is highly desired.
